Website Traffic Management

Traffic Management (Manage all aspects of attracting traffic to a website including):
  • Search Engine Traffic
  • Link Management
  • Pay Per Click Advertising campaigns
  • Website PR Programs (Article Writing, Forum Marketing, Blogging, etc)
MediaCraft will briefly discuss some of the non-traffic considerations that we have found to be critically important:

Accessibility - site maps:

An important aid to both easy surfing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the site map. If constructed properly, a good site map can enhance both the surfers experience and your SE ranking.

Communication:

Communication can also includes such PR related activities as:
  • article writing and submission, and
  • blog hosting.

Traffic Management

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

First we analyze the site with three principal things in mind -
  • keywords (what search terms do the pages need to do well with in the SEs in order to attract the appropriate traffic to that page);
  • generating a site map that leverages our keyword analysis and also improves the web surfers experience;
  • making sure that any pages that are served up via an SE are relevant to the search term used (this helps keep the both the SEs and the surfers happy).
Once the site has had this SEO massage we hand submit it to the directories and SEs.

SEO maintenance:

SEO maintenance involves ongoing research including:
  • Identifying new and emerging SEs, directories and methods (e.g., Google sitemap program, Google submission program)
  • Tracking keyword usefulness (if people stop searching on a particular word or phrase it does no good to optimize for it - if a new applicable search term become popular then that too must be accommodated).

Intelligent site linking:

MediaCraft will use advanced link building tactics to increase traffic and Page Rank rating in search engines. Website Traffic Management

Pay-Per-Click (PPC) and other paid site marketing methods:

It has been a long time since a Search Engine (SE) will respond instantly to changes in a site's design or its link status. If you need traffic now (or as is often the case, yesterday) then you might need a pay-per-click (PPC) program. Administering a PPC program, while not a black art, does have a steep learning curve and you can waste a fair amount of money (or worse time) while learning what works. MediaCraft does have a great deal of expertise in this area. We can make sure that both money and time are conserved relative to results.

Website Public Relations Programs (Article Writing, Forum Marketing, Blogging, etc):

As part of a website public relations program, MediaCraft can develop and maintain:
  • Article writing and submission programs
  • Forum marketing and Online-Communities programs
  • Blogging and bulletin board comment programs

While MediaCraft can, for instance guarantee that any money spent on a PPC program will be spent carefully and will give reasonable results; MediaCraft cannot guarantee very many specifics about SE ranking or how much traffic will come from a particular SE or when it will show up. The SEs have guaranteed that. They know that if they do not constantly tweak their methods, SE optimizers will figure out how to game them and the SEs will no longer be serving up relevant results (the SEs' raison d'ętre after all).

A great many SE optimizers over the years have worked out tricks to game the system. Many of them are based on having SEs 'see' a different page than what the surfer sees. Many of the rest are based on creating a super system in which the actual site is embedded in a universe of shadowy domains and mirror sites. All of these methods, when sufficiently fresh, work for a while. But the problem comes when the SEs catch on (and they will – it is there business to catch on). Because a site that has availed itself of such promotional tricks can find itself banned forever.

MediaCraft is not in that business and never has been. We only do SE optimization for our clients with whom we already have a valuable business relationship. In other words, we would never use a method that could jeopardize a client's standing with the SEs. MediaCraft wants our clients' sites' relationship with both surfers and SEs to be transparent.
